The Ice Beneath Her: A Novel - Elizabeth Clark Wessel, Camilla Grebe

Yikes, what a gruesome murder scene these cops have to investigate. I can't really say a lot about the murder victim without a huge spoiler, but I can tell you that the ending is a HUGE jaw dropper!

This author was compared to Jo Nesbo, who I love but can also be confusing to read sometimes with all those Swedish names. However, I had absolutely no problems at all reading this book. In fact, I didn't even want to put this book down. I closed the book expecting to sleep for a while - it was 2:00 a.m. Well, that didn't last. I was back up at 4:00 a.m. because I just had to know. What in the heck was going on. This guy was a CEO, what kind of psycho was he?

This story was well written and very easy to follow. Each chapter told you who was talking and each character told their back story and how they were feeling presently. There was a lot of back story, but I do think it helped in understanding the characters.

This is one book that I am glad that I requested and extremely happy that I was approved. I did not see the ending coming at all. It definitely took me by surprise and I love when that happens. I think my review is enough to tell you whether or not I would recommend this book.

Huge thanks to Bonnier Publishing for approving my request and to Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review.
