I am so torn on reviewing this book. I realize that it is loosely based on actual people. However, I got to the point where I was getting pretty fed up with the Admiral's daughter.
I guess I should tell you that this is the story of where Edward Munch got his idea for his most famous painting "The Scream". And after reading this book and dealing with the Admiral's daughter, that's exactly what I wanted to do, pun intended. I could not imagine living through it. Maybe that is what the author intended to do.
The book was interesting. I didn't really know a lot about the author. I knew of his painting - well this one at least. So at least I did learn some things which is good for the trivia side of my brain.
