I've read Amish books before but I think they were all by Linda Castillo and dealt with some type of mystery/murder and only touched on the Amish traditions. This was my first Beth Wiseman book and it dealt a lot with the Amish traditions. It was very interesting to read about them. It also dealt with a lot about religion, a little too much for me.
The story also dealt with a young boy who trying to decide if he wanted to stay Amish or leave for the "English country". There was a lot about that. And there was a lot about romance. No sex scenes for those who are interested.
The book was entertaining and informative and kept me interested. However, it would not be a genre that I would request.
Thanks to Thomas Zondervan for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
