Well, well, well. I think this book would have been a lot better had the first half been shorter, a lot. I found myself thinking I was living those same amount of days as the parents whose daughter had been kidnapped. It was very much a tedious read at the beginning. I understand the frustrations of both parents, however, I think those frustrations were becoming very redundant.
As to the parents, I truly felt sorry for the husband. His wife was not a very tolerant person to live with, one might even consider calling her a Beatch.
Once the story started really coming into motion, it was a good read. And oh, the neighborhood scandals and old loves started coming into play. That was the good part. If you can make it through the first half, it really does get better.
