I have just recently started reading the M.J. Aldridge books and they have not let me down yet. This is like the the 5th or 6th book I have read and when I see a book by this author, I will certainly request it because I KNOW it will be worth the read. However, do not start reading these books at bedtime. They WILL keep you up past bedtime!
This one really hits close to home with Helen Grace and it involves the world of BDSM. So, if you've read these books before, you can only guess who the victim is. Not only is she trying to find the murderer, she has to pretend that this latest victim does not phase her at all.
Of course, there is Emilia sniffing around and she smells a story.
I think this is one of the best of the Helen Grace stories so far. There is a lot of action, quite a lot of weirdos and this time, Helen has nowhere to go to take out her frustration. Also her two best deputies are in pissing match as to who is the best and doing some pretty sloppy work. It all leads up to a lot of action, a lot of in-house fighting, suspects being brought in that are not involved, etc.
Definitely worth your time to read, that is if you like fast action thrillers.
