Hanging Bridge: Racial Violence and America's Civil Rights Century - Jason Morgan Ward

#HANGINGBRIDGE  AVAILABLE 5/2/16  5 STARS!  INTERESTING & INFORMATIVE!  @jasonmorganward #OXFORDUNIVERSITYPRESS  Wow, this was definitely an interesting read. I had no idea what I was getting in to. This book pretty much went from 1918 to almost present day dealing with racial equality with most of it happening between 1940 and 1970 I would say.

There were a few names I recognized, but not many.

It was definitely a sad and embarrassing time for our nation. I didn't realize there were so many racial things going on at the same time as the Vietnam War. I guess I was too young. No wonder everyone was protesting it so much what with what he had going on here.

There were certainly some barbaric stories that unfortunately were true. Well, I did learn a lot, I cringed a lot, I realized a lot and I enjoyed reading this a lot.

Thanks Oxford University Press and Net Galley for allowing me the opportunity to read and review this book.
