Hooray!! Elvis is back!! This time, the author has taken his standalone characters, Scott James and Maggie, and paired them up with Elvis and Joe. I like it. I think they are a great addition to the team and I hope to see more of them. I just love Maggie and I'm not a dog lover. Although I do have Maggie's green tennis ball that I won at Murder by the Book on the author's last appearance!
This book was a messed up story. Everybody is faking everybody out - well, the bad guys are. It's up to Elvis and his team to get to the bottom of it, once they finally figure out that they have been being lied to.
As usual, the book held my total interest and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I just had to know. Then when they were trying to hurt Maggie, I was definitely screaming at the book!
I would recommend a Robert Crais book to anyone. I have never read a bad one yet. And this is another that fits that bill. Sometimes, the characters are a little hard to keep up with because there are so many, but I think that's my problem. Definitely, go out and buy this, it's definitely a good read.
