4 Stars! #WhispersintheReadingRoom @Zondervan @ShelleySGray
I really liked this book a lot. I'm not sure what it is, but I love books set in the late 19th century. Of course, I definitely would not have wanted to live then.
This book is a romance, but there is absolutely no sex. The showing of one's hand and ankle is about as sexual as you get in this book.
There was some mystery and a lot of light suspense as the newspaper reports several people being killed in the alley where Lydia's library romance works.
I don't want to give too much away. Only that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It was the story of a gentleman meeting a lady and the treating of each other as such. Kind of like a fairy tale set in the late 1800's and there are definitely ogres and shadows in the night.
I definitely recommend this book. I found it very entertaining, easy to read and just comfortable.
Thanks Zondervan and Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review. It was definitely entertaining!
