Thank you Algonquin and Net Galley for providing me with this free e-galley in exchange for an honest review. I am also sorry it took me this long to figure out how to download the galley into the appropriate reading medium. I usually use Kindle and this was a different format for me.
That being said, because of the format, I had to read this book on my laptop instead of my Ipad. So, I'm not sure if the first 80 or so pages were slow to read or if it was just me getting used to reading in a different way.
But, after around that page 80 or so, I really got into this story and I was glad that I was able to be part of it. I felt such emotion for these characters. The biggest one was the fact that I really want to beat the crap out of Billy. What an asshole! However, that feeling did change towards the end of the book. (Ha, not spoiling it for nothing!) You read it and see if you feel the same way.
I spent most of the day of January 22nd with these characters and I guarantee you, I will not forget them. It will definitely be one of my most memorable of 2015 and I'm only 24 days into the new year!
I would definitely recommend this book as it will keep you totally entertained and guessing. I'm actually giving it 4 1/2 stars, but Goodreads does not have that capability.
