I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thanks Ellen.
I do have to agree that the first chapter was a little squeamish, but it was told in an effort to show just what bullies these girls were. However, to me the story went away from the girls and concentrated on Jack. It a short time after that I started skimming the pages. The author left me off the track into Jack who I thought was a werewolf. That immediately turned me off as I've really had enough of those stories.
However, I kept muddling through it to the bitter end. I really think that if the story had been less about Jack and more of the girls, it would have been a much better story. I understand why the author kept the emphasis on him, but just think it was too much. I certainly did not see the ending coming, however.
